Privacy Policy

Spotlight.wiki is engineered with privacy-first principles. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use invasive cross-site trackers.

1. Information We Collect

When you interact with Spotlight, we collect only the minimal data required to display your public listing and deliver outbid notifications:

  • Public Profile Details: Handle, display name, avatar URL, tagline, category, and primary destination link.
  • Notification Email: Provided during checkout solely to send your transaction confirmation and real-time outbid notifications.
  • Aggregated Usage Data: Privacy-preserving metrics such as anonymized page views, referrers, and clicks.

2. Payment & Financial Data

Spotlight.wiki never collects, handles, or stores your credit card details, CVC, or billing passwords.

All payment transactions are handled directly through Lemon Squeezy and Polar, which are PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processors. When an order is completed, our servers receive only a cryptographically signed webhook containing your order ID and bid amount.

3. Analytics & Cookie-Free Tracking

We utilize Vercel Web Analytics to measure site performance and deliver accurate traffic delivery metrics to advertisers.

  • Vercel Analytics operates without persistent third-party cookies.
  • IP addresses are stripped and hashed to protect individual anonymity.
  • Compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR privacy frameworks.

4. Communications & Opt-Out

Your email is used strictly for operational notices regarding your active listing:

  • Receipts and proof of sponsored ranking.
  • Instant alert when another creator outbids your position.

We will never sell or rent your email address to marketing brokers or third-party advertisers.

5. User Rights (GDPR & CCPA) & Data Erasure

Under international privacy frameworks including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to access, rectify, or request the complete deletion (Right to be Forgotten) of your personal data and listing information.

Notice of Non-Sale: Spotlight does NOT sell, monetize, or rent personal data or email records to third parties or advertising brokers.

To exercise your data rights or request immediate deletion of your listing and email, contact our privacy officer at legal@spotlight.wiki. Identity verification and deletion requests are executed within 48 hours.
